Took ride to Portage River walk today, mouth of ditch iced in. But there was a canoe and a jonboat fishing by last discharge, watched them for about 15 minutes saw 5 fish caught between the two ,all looked to be average coho. Got cabin fever .nice to see fish being caught ready for spring!

Doynes Marine would the closest.The public portage ramp was closed last Sunday. I did ride by Doynes Marina's ramp it was open and plowed free of snow and ice. Their ramp is open 24/7,365 days a year, payment box on post. Maybe with this week's warm weather portage marina ramp may be open by this weekend. Hello Catfish, I was there today, I saw a block or two of floating Ice. Ditch open to mouth but iced in after that, saw a few boats go up to the ice no when though it.
