Launched at Portage Thursday around 11a slowly made it all the way to Gary light with the kids (really bumpy). It wasn’t bad once we were inside the breakwall. Started catching nice coho while setting lines. Only managed to get 6 lines out as the coho were hitting about every bait I had out. Ran all board lines. We ended up keeping 13 coho most pretty good size. Threw back 3 shorts and lost a few as well. Water temp was 44 on main lake and 48 at gary light. Water was pretty clear but big rollers. Best baits in pictures. The bigger fish were stuffed with magnum size alewifes.

Nice report and pics!

That might be the nicest cooler shot I've seen.. .maybe even good enough for Brother Nature to not be bothered by it ;)

Thanks for the report the fish look like they are much bigger then a couple weeks ago. Was hoping to get up there this weekend but weather isn't looking promising. Thanks for the report.

Good work. I had been eyeing tomorrow (Saturday) for a trip over there, but my son decided he wants to hunt turkeys during the youth weekend instead. And the weather forecast took a turn for the worse, which is usually the case when I don’t have to take days off work to go.
