I want to start out by thanking all the folks that responded to my initial post for recommendations on where to fish and what to run. Happy to report that I got my limit and would like to think I would have done even better if I had more bodies on the boat- ha!

On Sunday, I went out around 7:00am and trolled from Portage to Gary and got my coho limit by 9:30am. Two came on the red squiggle thinfin, but the other three came on a blue Rapala Husky Jerk. I also lost 2 on that lure so it seemed to do the trick. My speed varied, but going a bit faster worked out better (2.9 mps or so).

Glad to hear you got on some fish. It’s always rewarding when a plan works out.
Fish on!

The boat is great! I am still tweaking the set-up a bit, but I love it.

Nice work Captain M. Don’t be afraid to change up colors or lure types when the bites slows down for you. A small change from reds to oranges can make a world of difference.

Think we passed by you around the Gary light area on Saturday. Great job! Solo trips can be a lot of fun but definitely challenging at times.

Yes, I was out there on Saturday as well (got two)! A solo trip isn't too bad, but my enclosure seems to work like a sail so sometimes I'm pushed in all kinds of directions B)!

Thanks for report! Right about now, I would be as happy as a pig
in slop, just to get outta the house! Be careful out there, but
enjoy yourself.

Nice work. I have considered running a couple of my walleye cranks (Bandit and Deep Husky Jerks) just to see how they do.
