TOPIC:

Left the harbor at approx 630. The lake was choppy with a nice north east blow. After pulling out of the harbor I found ice was forming on the boat quickly. I decided it was best not to go to Gary until it at least warmed up a bit. Trolled from the 1st light to the second light made a turn and had a 3 man limit by the time I hit the hole in the wall. All fish were caught on body baits. Size zero diver on a 2 setting back 35 was very good. Also noticed the fish were deeper today fishing this area. My deeper baits worked better than my flat lines 2 to 1. Boat was on the trailer by 9. Over all fishing was very good in this area but was not crazy like Gary yesterday.

I think we are going to have a great year John with bigger than average fish. Over the last 2 weekends we have taken some coho that are abnormally huge for this time of year. Most of the fish are bigger than normal already. Some of the fish we caught yesterday looked like they should be end of may fish.

Anytime Jeff it was a fun trip. Little less crazyness on the boat compared to yesterday but I prefer a nice good pace pick over craziness any how. I like being on the water, yesterday went way to fast almost did not get to enjoy the lake.
