So on my way to work downtown Chicago I stopped by my shore place I go to thinking I'd get to at least see one we'll I new I was screed when I saw a flag almost bent over from the 20 mph east winds only stayed for a few minutes just to snap some pics

big east wind should equal cold water near Michigan City for the weekend. hope fish come to play

I'll be out after work today farther north, where there's some nice cold water stacked up against some warm-ish river water. Probably should have been out this morning but stayed up late to watch OSU-Indiana

I am thinking there is a big slug of cohos and a few kings getting ready to enter the Joe

I went out last night st MC, put in a few hours in the back of the harbor. Surprised there wasn't anything going on. Seemed like there was a decent amount of bait in the basin, as I could feel my crankbait bumping some kind of small fish on the retrieve. I did briefly hook up with one fish I'm 75% sure was a king in the lower river on a Thunderstick earlier in the afternoon. If I weren't working this weekend, I'd be heading up into Michigan, should be some action with the conditions.

They're finally showing up. I've been up as far as Frankfort on the Michigan side, and back around to Sheboygan on the WI side just looking for a bite or two. Finally tonight I landed this nice male and a smaller hen right here at home in good old Indiana. I've probably tossed a couple thousand casts and driven a thousand miles in the past 3 weeks without a bite, and then I end taking hits on 3 consecutive casts tonight. Lost two other fish and had another bump, all on the old frenzies.
