Here's one Southshore may have put on the list. It does have a laker in it, a bit of blood, half the photo in the sun, half in the shade -- it was certainly in contention! If it would have included a crumpled beer can, it may have made the cut.

Okay, it's looks like it's #2 with a runaway lead so I'm calling the contest before vote counters from Pennsylvania start tallying the mail-ins.  If anyone wants to claim the photo and get the ugly lure, the tattered magazine and whatever else I promised, send me a Private Message.  

The point seems to have taken hold that though there's a reason to take cooler shots - that reason is akin to taking crime scene photos - they aren't supposed to display the victim artfully. If you want to take some photos of the catch, and you should, use some creativity when making the happy-snappies. Seems like there used to be a "best photo" contest here on the Southend - cooler shots never made the cut.
